A bright light is being shined on the systemic inequality plaguing our nation, and many of us are left to wonder how we can play an active role in building equality. One place to start is with implicit or unconscious bias - it’s the root of many systemic inequities in the workplace. It’s important we all identify our personal biases, take action to mitigate them, and actively serve as an ally to others.

At the end of this presentation attendees will be able to:
- Define the origins of bias and four different types of bias.
- Define risk factors that increase our likelihood to engage in bias.
- Compensate for and attempt to overcome bias through clear and tangible actions.
- Combat microaggressions and other exclusive behaviors using simple, tried and true intervention methods.
