It’s remarkable what people will say about a city or place based only off of the news that they watch. Rather than taking the time to find out for themselves, they let the media dictate how they live their lives, oftentimes leading them on with fear. 

You don’t see positive news outlets for reason. Positivity doesn’t sell outside of a few motivational memes. Negativity though? That’s a $$$ maker. 

This is partly why I believe traveling to new places is important. You’re experiencing new things, both good and bad. Visiting historical monuments. Enjoying foreign cultures. 

Traveling and experiencing things first hand for yourself allows you to formulate your own beliefs and opinions.

There are opportunities everywhere, but if you listen to someone else telling you the land is dry, you’ll never plant anything in the first place. 🏜️
