Why I loved trying this pin: I thought this was a clever way of reinterpreting the classic color wheel. According to the captioning on my Pinterest board, this was an exercise for school age children taking art classes and learning about color theory. I decided to tackle the same composition, but this time I treated it as an impasto painting 🖼 making the colors literally stand out and pop. If you look closely, I used several types of mediums that give the paint different textures and surfaces, allowing the painting to be multifaceted (like me 😉). 

It's been ages since I've last used Pinterest (I forgot how addicting and visually overwhelming it can be). I'll post and share work (and corresponding Pins) more often as I can, especially since I'm a fine art undergrad student!
