We're witnessing a new generation that's breaking the norms. Often perceived as β€˜lazy’, Gen Z is rather being discerningly mindful of their career options. They're questioning the tried-and-true pathways previous generations took.

They ask: Why follow a linear trajectory of education to employment, especially for a simple pay check, when the digital age offers multiple avenues? πŸ“²

For many, the conventional route of entering education and then settling for a standard job is no longer enticing. Not when a simple TikTok video can earn X amount or when they, as creative individuals, can earn and achieve Y in innovative ways. 🎨

So, it begs the question: What are companies doing to attract this calibre of talent and make it worth their while? πŸ€”

And as I stressed in the discussion, side hustles are all about upskilling and becoming a greater asset. If your employer doesn't see it that way, it speaks volumes about the organisation's culture and their hunger (or lack thereof) to nurture talent. 🌱
