Made it during my 1st week back at Park University and it feels so good to be back as a junior! I got to meet and catch up with my classmates, teachers, and back in my fave places to hang (with a certain little business school and its community top of mind). This semester I'll be working a hybrid class schedule, which will definitely be to my liking and benefit 😊 

My classes:
1. Basic Concepts of Statistics: Tuesdays and Thursdays in person at 11:35AM to 12:50PM CST; the good news is that my professor is a fun, vibrant guy, the bad news is that the subject itself is snooze worthy and I'm already bored out of my skull 😒😮‍💨

2. Intro to Human Communication: In person same days as Stats, 1PM to 2PM after Stats. This class and its professor does have potential and has piqued my interest. We'll see. 😉

3. Modern Art History: online (sadly). This is my specialty and strength 💪 I'm already having to do online discussions and assigned one chapter reading. 📚 This is fine, but the fact that it's online has greatly saddened me. I better see real live humans from this class!

4. Principles of Macroeconomics: online, this time. I won't have to take this class until we come back from fall recess later in the semester (thank the Lord!). This is the class where last semester me and several of my classmates academically died and our professor was a textbook example of the stern (but funny) grandfather who pulled no punches. I'm actually excited to take this class again as I really did find everything and everyone in the class fascinating, even my stiff and stern grandfather of a teacher. In fact, I was actually considering becoming an economist, but then I was told by one of my mates in our biz school how there's not a whole lot of women in economics 😯😞 well, no matter. The subject has greatly inspired me and has influenced my way of thinking as well as how I approach my art practice (teaser: the modern art of economics 😃).

Today we at Park had our opening convocation followed by our annual club fair (naturally, I represented Art Club and got a lot of sign ups). It was a lot of fun! In fact, I'm already part of 4 clubs and organizations (I won't say which ones...yet). While I'm happy to be back, my morale and outlook is still down and out given how awful last semester and this summer has been for me. And the funny part was I experienced all of this in my late 20s.....in that case, I can't wait to join the 30 club tomorrow! And to all who'll wish me a happy 30th: thank you so much 💖 💗 💓 I promise to make my 30s the best (and craziest) ever!!!!
