I was young once....

Right at the start of my business owner days, I walked into a room full of seasoned professionals, my palms sweaty and my heart racing. Each step echoed my internal question: "Am I the least smart person here?" 

Incorporating my first company felt like diving into an ocean without knowing how to swim. A website, I thought, was my ticket to success, but oh, how much there was to learn beyond that! Shareholder Agreements? Forecasts?  Insurances? Accountants? Clients? Who knew the world behind the start-up scene was so vast?

Yet, every master was once a disaster, as Harv Eker aptly put it!

During those foundational meetings, as I stumbled through unfamiliar terrains and decisions, I discovered powerful anchors:

NETWORK WITH CONFIDENCE BOOSTERS: Surround yourself with positive, confident people. Their energy is infectious! Having them in your corner can make you see your worth and potential in ways you might overlook.

SEEK OUT MENTORS: These are your lighthouses. They've been where you are and can guide you with their wisdom. A mentor can provide perspective, celebrate your small victories, and even give you a gentle nudge when you need it

REMEMBER YOUR STRENGTHS: Tap into your innate skills. For me, it was communication, creative thinking, teamwork, and reflecting on my achievements. It's essential to recognise your worth and believe you have earned your seat at any table.

PREPARATION: Knowledge breeds confidence. Before any meeting, arm yourself with as much information as possible. The more you know, the more secure you'll feel.

Today, my challenges may differ, but the art of owning your space in a room remains unchanged. Speaking up, even with shaky knees, is an act of courage. 

And remember, confidence isn't a trait you're born with – it's a muscle. The more you flex it, the stronger it becomes. 💪
