I swear the term web3 is so buzzy & the ones who use it the most are the ones who least understand what it could achieve. Comically I mostly see facsimiles of "web2" platforms people are building on these networks & don't realize even if built independent (most aren't) the TOS typically grants the platform perpetual use of their code for free forever & often the language is worded in ways that would limit the creators future ability to own their work. It's so strange to me.
