In the midst of my life's journey, there was a time when I was deeply in love with myself. It was February 2021, and I had managed to pick myself up from a low point in my life. At that moment, I felt an unprecedented level of confidence surging within me. The photo taken in February 2021 captured that unwavering self-assuredness, a snapshot of a life at its peak.

Yet, little did I know that in that same year, I would take a detour down a treacherous path. I allowed arrogance to consume me, and I became increasingly ignorant of the advice from the people who cared about me. I embarked on a journey into the world of metaphysics, following a so-called "Dr. XYZ." I convinced myself that success was a product of luck rather than hard work, and this naive belief led me down a dark and dangerous path.

It was during this time that I fell victim to a horrifying scam perpetrated by individuals I had trusted and admired. I was deceived by those who had earned the title of 'fake prophets,' individuals who promised shortcuts to riches and fame. They peddled the false hope of losing weight with a simple pill or becoming instantly famous by creating a viral video. Many people, like me, were ensnared by their deceptions, desperate for quick success.

Are there still people falling into these scams? The answer is an unfortunate 'yes.' Every day, unsuspecting individuals part with thousands of dollars to enroll in these deceptive courses. As I was growing within this bubble created by the fake prophets, I was unwittingly living among the members of a cult, imprisoned by their lies and manipulations.

By October 2021, I had reached a point of no return. A certified psychologist diagnosed me with depression, a condition I couldn't bring myself to accept. I was forced to confront the ugly truth about human nature – the lengths to which people would go to gain trust and part others from their money.

I went from being someone deeply in love with myself to someone who despised my very existence. I had been lured into the allure of overnight success, believing that I had never achieved anything remarkable in my career. I had lived in constant fear of making mistakes, given that my work demanded near-perfect accuracy.

But I learned invaluable lessons after leaving that organization. In the depths of depression, I discovered the strength within me to persevere. There were moments when I contemplated giving up on life, unable to forgive myself for falling prey to those scams. It was at my lowest point that I found a glimmer of hope.

I thank God for saving my life and offering me a fresh start. I found my identity as a daughter of Christ and embraced a loving community of church brothers and sisters. Through faith, I learned to be human again.

Depression had turned me into a stoic, someone who felt that nothing in life held any meaning. Every day was a torment, filled with sorrow and misery. I believed I was worthless, like discarded trash, destined for the waste dump.

But, in the darkness, I found God's eternal love. He never abandoned me or forsook me. He became my source of strength, not only for me but for countless others who were also lost. I learned that with faith, even in the bleakest of times, there is a path to redemption, and in God's love, we can find solace, purpose, and a second chance at life.
