How do I start?
Its a simple concept
- Get a screenshot of a screen from Mobbin.
- Try to recreate this screen on Figma as precisely as possible.

But you can get started at the level you feel comfortable at if you feel that you are a beginner, start at

🥇 Level 1:
At first, you try to recreate this design without worrying about proper spacing, auto-layout, or any other specifics, just making sure both look the same.

🥇Level 2:
Now try to make sure the components are spaced out properly. Preferably with an 8-pixel spacing. (Look it up)

🥇Level 3:
Now you can try to use an open-source design system (Like material design from Google) and use components from it to make your process faster.

🥇Level 4:
Try using auto-layout for most of the elements, and focus on naming layers and making smaller components if needed.

🥇Level 5:
Try making the design responsive (Even when you stretch the frame the design should adapt accordingly) to the needed limits, and also try to create two screens instead of one.

At this point, you will be pretty solid at all things figma, and you can still continue this exercise if you need more speed in your work and so on.

This helped me learn auto-layout and made me much faster at work, so if you feel your Figma and UI skills are holding you back, try this out. You will learn new things from every screen you recreate.
