In the midst of looking for an I.T. related role, I have been able to receive some insight on what recruiters are looking for. Thank you to the Entre Community. 

It has been a process. Over 5 years since I started my journey to find an I.T. role. Despite the length of time it has taken me, I am thankful for the long road. I have been able to finalize the destination. I learned a lot about myself and what drives me. I have also gained insight about how I am perceived by the workforce. Being self aware can expedite success. I have learned:

It’s ok to be a disruptive employee. This is not necessarily bad. It just means that you will have delve into the industries looking for innovative workers. Typically, it is start up culture.

You can’t do it alone. Networking can be daunting, especially if you have anxiety. Work through it because your network affects your net worth.

Submit that cover letter every time. Empathize with the hiring manager when you apply to roles. They are looking for solid candidates. Any weak areas within your work experience, address that thoroughly within your cover letter.
