I completed a Hackathon!

United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) asked that we complete a Hackathon to qualify for the next phase. I was on another  Hackathon before United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)'s Hackathon on the same week.

 Unfortunately, my team for that Hackathon lacked communication, collaboration, effective leadership… honestly, the list could go on. As a result of these limitations, we didn't even complete our Hackathon. Although I was able to keep up with my deadline, most of my team members weren't able to.

However, for the UNITAR Hackathon I was able to work with a team that was as invested as I was on this project. The project is a program called Digital Fit-Me.

It proposes integrating tailored digital literacy courses into secondary school education in Nigeria to address digital illiteracy, foster creativity, and prepare students for future employment. It aligns with UN SDGs, promotes equality, and contributes to economic growth through job creation. The idea behind this program is to tap into the creative nature of these kids with the help of technology and build world class innovations that would break barriers to employment development and opportunities.
