For about the past 15 years, we've received three to four calls, each month, from students or parents of students being bullied in elementary, middle or high school.

It's a terrible situation for students and parents to go through.

Today, deepfake technology has introduced new risks in cyberbullying among students. 

The ease of accessing deepfake software has led to a disturbing trend of students using this technology to create and share nude or sexually explicit images of their peers.

These fake images can have devastating psychological effects on victims.

Such actions not only breach ethical boundaries but also raise serious legal concerns regarding child pornography and privacy violations. 

From what I'm seeing, educators don't know how to handle this new disturbing problem of fake nude or explicit imagery made by students.

Based upon the calls we're getting, they need to act faster and better with education and imposing and enforcing these consequences.

Educational institutions, parents, and law enforcement must work together to develop effective strategies to educate students about the consequences of their digital behaviors.
