The speech that contains malice, the speech that is harmful to another being, makes oneself appear fierce, is mixed with laughter, pierces the heart of another being, causes self-negligence, is harsh and hard, i.e., unpleasant to hear, is confusing, of false faith, and unsubstantiated, as well as any other speech against the scriptures, should be considered as reprehensible speech. Reprehensible speech is synonymous with slander, and any speech condemned in the scriptures is considered reprehensible speech.
