The pure substance-specific perspective is the perspective whose purpose is to understand pure substance. It has three types: (a) Karma-independent pure substance-specific perspective, (b) Difference-independent pure substance-specific perspective, and (c) Production-expenditure-independent pure substance-specific perspective. Karma-independent pure substance-specific perspective is the perspective that considers a liberated soul, untouched by karmas, as pure, viewing it as pure regardless of karmas. Difference-independent pure substance-specific perspective is the perspective that does not differentiate between qualities and substances, virtues and virtuous entities, modes and mode-bearers, and nature and natural, viewing substance as inseparable from its qualities, attributes, modes, and nature. Production-expenditure-independent pure substance-specific perspective is the perspective that grasps only the eternal existence of substance, considering production and expenditure as incidental, just as focusing on the eternal nature of gold instead of seeing it in the forms of necklaces, rings, or earrings.
