I let my ego run wild and loved the flattery and attention. A few days ago I wrote an article about staying safe in today's world. I discuss how emails can be from other than who you think and to check the sender's email. 

I recently experienced a business who may or not be a Web3 business, may be experienced or inexperienced in the metaverse, and may or may not understand the principles of decentralization and blockchain technology. 

I spent 30 minutes in what was considered a group chat for the group with only one of the co-founders and me. I should have been more aware. I spoke openly about different Web3 types of sites and even gave the person tips and information for free. Realizing the company's practices were backhanded and shady, aggressive too, I thought it best to unfollow and mark it up to my ego gone wild. Here's the story.
