Alcoholics Anonymous talks about rebuilding relationships with family & children, suggesting it might be hard & might take some time, but when it happens, progress in those relationships are often rapid. Furthermore, it tells us to "practice these principles in all our affairs." 

Not only does AA emphasize values & relationships with one's children (the next generation), but many cultures do also. 

The Nepalese culture places a strong emphasis on values related to family & community, placing it above individualism. In Hinduism, great emphasis is placed on helping children understand how to integrate principles in daily life. Papua New Guinean culture also encourages hands-on learning, helping children understand how to integrate customs, mores, & values in their daily life. 

Thought for the day: As is believed in Hinduism, people are taught to "See God in Others", meaning that by loving & respecting each other, individuals foster a sense of compassion, empathy, and understanding. 

Let's continue to understand one another. Let's continue to teach the next generation values, customs, beliefs, & mores that bring us together. Let's continue to help one another. There's no "I" in team. It's takes a village to help us, whether we are in a church setting, a recovery setting, a hospital, our home, or the like. Someone else might have it better than us or worse than us. Someone is always fighting a storm we know nothing about.
