I still remember those early days…

Walking into rooms full of seasoned professionals as a new business owner was intimidating. My palms were sweaty, and my mind was racing with one question: “Do I really belong here?”

Starting my first company felt like being thrown into deep water. I thought all I needed was a website – but then came the reality of legal documents, forecasts, insurance, accountants, CLIENTS… It was a lot.

As Harv Eker says, “Every master was once a disaster.” Looking back, a few key things helped me stay afloat:

1. Surround Yourself with Confidence Boosters – Being around people who believe in you goes a long way. Confidence is contagious, and sometimes, it’s easier to see your own value through others’ eyes.

2. Find Mentors – They’re like guides who’ve walked the same path. A good mentor helps you keep perspective, celebrates the small wins, and gives you that nudge when you need it.

3. Tap Into Your Strengths – For me, that’s communication, creative thinking, and collaboration. It’s easy to overlook your strengths, but they’re what got you here – and they’ll keep moving you forward.

4. Prepare – Knowledge is a confidence builder. The more you know, the more secure you feel in any situation.

These days, the challenges are different, but the basics of owning your space haven’t changed. Speaking up, even when you’re uncertain, is always worth it.
