~ Deeds ~ Many people throughout history have said that “actions speak louder than words.” The first recorded use of this phrase is in 1628, during the English Civil War, by a guy named John Pym, at the UK Parliament, which is written as, “A word spoken in season is like an Apple of Gold set in Pictures of Silver, and actions are more precious than words.” The first documented use of the phrase ‘speak louder’ comes in 1693 in Thomas Manton’s Book of Sermons: “…this may be the real Language of their Hearts & Actions, which speak much louder than Words.” But what does this mean exactly?
