Pre-plan you travel and and be aware of the road and weather condition of the route you are going to take. Delhi to Kainchi Dham Distance is around 320 km, about 7-8 hours through NH9. The closest route is Kathgodam and you will have to hire a taxi from there for the 38 km journey to Kainchi Dham.

You can stay in the ashram which are solely available for the devotees. Even the nearby towns of Nainital and Bhowali offer budget hotels and homestays for families.

There are some essential things that must carry to avoid any unnecessary trouble. You can pack minimal things but include warm clothes, comfortable shoes, medicines and a pair of slippers so, when you find shoes uncomfortable to wear, you can wear those extra pair of slippers.
