To be honest, my flight from Gatwick (LGW) Terminal South on British Airways was easy and stress-free. The British Airways LGW Terminal itself felt roomy and orderly, with obvious signage that made navigation incredibly simple, especially for someone who gets a little lost in airports. A pleasant tone for the remainder of the trip was created by the British Airways staff's genuine assistance and speedy and efficient check-in process. When you have time to kill, it's always a plus to have plenty of sitting close to the gates, and security lines went more quickly than anticipated.I really liked the variety of stores and food options; there were good options for both fast coffee and more substantial meals. If you have access to the lounge, it's a huge plus; it's clean, quiet, and has a decent assortment of drinks and food. The gate staff managed everything expertly, and boarding was in order. British Airways does a fantastic job operating out of LGW Terminal South, which feels like it was designed with travelers in mind overall. You should expect a rather pleasant airport experience if you're flying with British Airways through Gatwick.
