Delhi to Amarnath Yatra

Delhi Amarnath Yatra planning is made with advance preparation to enable a trouble-free religious pilgrimage. The sacred Hindu journey to Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu & Kashmir occurs between the months of June and August during the sacred Shravan month.

Before starting the yatra, pilgrims have to register online or at specific banks, submitting ID proof, a health certificate, and photographs. Registration is available for people aged 13–75 years, with the exception of pregnant women after six weeks.

Various travelling options are accessible from Delhi. Pilgrims can take flight to Srinagar, after which they need to go to the base camps at Baltal or Pahalgam via road. During Delhi to Amarnath Yatra there are en route tent and lodge facilities and booking in advance is recommended. Medical facilities and safety measures are taken by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board at major points.
