The Titanic has always been interesting to me for 2 reasons: 1) the conspiracy theories that come with it; for example, how did the titanic really sink? could it have gone around the iceberg and not hit it, or would a head-on collision would have been "better?" would more lifeboats have been helpful? these questions have mostly been debunked by science, through documentaries such as the director of the Titanic movie, James Cameron, has done. 2) the economics behind it; how people were separated into classes depending on their social status and how much money they had. it was a clear example of money and power and how, while the Titanic was considered to be a "progressive ship" and the...
