Many common "vegetables" are actually fruits botanically, like tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, and avocados, because they develop from the flower's ovary and contain seeds. Surprisingly, some "berries" like strawberries and raspberries aren't true berries botanically (their seeds are on the outside), while bananas and even pumpkins are technically classified as berries!
