For the Fourth of July, my girlfriend and I went to the beach to make a campfire and watch some fireworks. We were vastly underprepared as while I brought marshmallows to make s’mores, a volleyball, some firewood and a lighter, there was still a lot to be desired. In terms of snacks we had to leave the beach to go pick up some food, in terms of the campfire we had to scavenge for pieces of dry wood, brush around the beach, and old homework that someone had left behind. Despite these challenges we had a great time.
