Some flowers, like sunflowers, can track the movement of the sun across the sky -- a phenomenon called heliotropism. The world’s largest flower, Rafflesia arnoldii, can grow over three feet wide and smells like rotting flesh to attract flies. Tulips were once so valuable in the 1600s that they caused an economic bubble in the Netherlands known as "Tulip Mania."
