Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking at the Goodlawyer Future of Law Summit, with thousands of lawyers joining from around the world. This was my last keynote of 2025, I wanted to go out with a bang. Of course, I had to wear “that” red jacket! 

I shared what I’ve learned from interviewing hundreds of legal innovators and what modern lawyers need to thrive in the years ahead. Here are the core ideas I covered.

Replace goals with systems and lean into habits that compound.

Build a personal brand that lands, not a perfect brand.
Move if you’re not happy. You’re not a tree.
Let go of the idea that success means climbing someone else’s ladder.
Focus on progress, not perfection.
