If your voice disappears in the room, your ideas do too!

And here’s what really stood out to me.

Most lawyers work obsessively on their legal knowledge.

Very few work on how they sound when they deliver it.

David broke communication down into three elements:

1️⃣ Voice.
2️⃣ Presence.
3️⃣ Message.

You can have world-class expertise.

But if your pacing is rushed…
your tone is monotone…
your fillers dilute authority…

You’re unintentionally weakening your impact.

One line that I found super interesting.

"We don’t hear our voice the way others hear it."

Which means most professionals are operating with blind spots.

And in a profession built on persuasion, credibility and gravitas that really  matters.

We also spoke about something I see all the time.

Leaders try to sound authoritative.

And lose warmth.

They try to copy Obama for example.

And lose authenticity.

The balance is what creates executive presence.

Authority with energy.

Confidence with warmth.

Not dominance. Not performance.

Balance.

If you’re preparing for partnership, pitching clients, speaking on panels, or stepping into more visible leadership roles, your voice is not a “soft skill”.
It’s leverage.

And like any leverage point, it can be trained.
