Description

About the Job At OpenSesame, we use technology to create engaging learning environments that educate, empower, and inspire. As a Product Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving data-informed decisions and supporting our Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy. Your focus will be on maximizing our product’s potential as the main driver of user acquisition, expansion, and retention. This role involves taking full ownership of data analytics, automating data pipelines, and developing product health metrics to make our product team smarter and more efficient. Performance-Based Objectives: Insights-Driven Leadership: In the first 30 Days: Deeply understand OpenSesame’s product offerings, user behavior, and the PLG ecosystem. Establish robust analytics practices and product health metrics. Establish systems for collecting, analyzing, and acting on customer feedback. This includes integrating stakeholder and customer feedback loops, NPS surveys, support tickets, and internal feature requests. Build the necessary data and analytics infrastructure and processes to guarantee an empowered product team that drives successful outcomes. Driving Product Outcomes: After 90 Days: Integrate comprehensive data analysis into our daily operations, providing access to detailed user behavior, market trends, and product performance data. Enable Product Managers to use data, analytics and insights to identify and prioritize solutions with the highest business value, addressing bugs, security findings, and technical debt. Ensure the roadmap planning and prioritization process are deeply informed by analytics. Features deliver demonstrable increases in customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Innovation & Product Strategy: After six months: Identify the key growth levers for usage optimization and influence product team focus across all products. Segment users based on behavior, feature usage, and lifecycle stage. Develop targeted engagement strategies such as personalized onboarding flows, feature-specific educational content, and retention campaigns. Proactively identify and drive opportunities to optimize products for increased user acquisition, engagement, and monetization. Translate analysis results into meaningful product and business recommendations. Thought Leadership & Strategic Impact: After 1 Year: Establish yourself as a thought leader and expert in the product domain. Influence the strategic direction of OpenSesame by delivering high-impact analyses that demonstrate a deeper understanding of user engagement and product metrics. You might notice we don’t have the requirements, qualifications, and minutia of typical job descriptions. We don’t care about that as we do not hire based on specific buzzwords, technologies, or popular acronyms on your resume. We are looking for specific examples from your previous experience that prove you can do this job successfully. We want you to advance your career and are looking for someone excited by this challenge, knowing they can lean on the leadership team around them for growth. Location: This position can be based anywhere in the US. We operate as a remote-first company and invest in all-company in-person meetings several times a year. Performance Driven: We're looking for self-starters with a track record of delivering excellent results, but we're highly selective about who we hire. We don't focus on typical job requirements, instead, we're interested in specific examples from your past experiences. All positions can be based anywhere in the US, and require up to 15 days of travel per year, with senior management and leadership teams requiring up to 35 days. Compensation: The pay range for this position is generally between $130,000-$160,000 per year and depends on experience. At OpenSesame, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees upon hire, including professional development, ISOs, health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, relying on market data to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience. We prioritize pay transparency, fairness, and equity to create a positive and inclusive work environment, regularly reviewing our compensation practices to align with our values and goals.
