Description
As a Technical Consultant at Vertafore, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering value to our clients by implementing technical configurations and offering tailored solutions to their business challenges. Your expertise will shape and enhance the experiences of our key clients, fostering strong relationships and contributing to the future growth of our team.
Working collaboratively across departments such as Customer Support, Account Management, Professional Services, and Product Management, you'll guide clients through their journey with us, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. As part of a dynamic cross-functional team, you'll need to be proactive, adaptable, and service-oriented to excel in our fast-paced environment.
Delving into the technical intricacies of implementations will be your forte, and you'll relish the opportunity to devise innovative tools, processes, and solutions to tackle complex problems head-on. Consultant IIs will further enhance their expertise, applying deep product knowledge to address unique customer scenarios and identify best practices that can drive effectiveness across the board.
Core Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
· Develops forward thinking, technical implementation recommendations that align with clients' business objectives.
· Provides in-depth technical guidance to customers and internally
· Collaborates with the team to educate and train clients on how to best technically implement and integrate with the Vertafore product suite
· Configures data conversion environment and completes more complex data conversions and implementations
· Provides input to the project plan
· Works with many different source systems and versions and is an SME for troubleshooting
· Develops implementation tools and processes
· Maintains the deepest level of industry and product expertise and proliferates, internally and externally
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Advanced written and verbal communication skills
· Technically savvy with an interest in technology and in deepening technical and software knowledge
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree preferred or comparable experience.
· Minimum 3 years of work experience in a technical, customer focused environment.
· Insurance industry experience helpful
· High proficiency with SQL, MS SQL Server, and Windows Server environments.
· Can write and troubleshoot SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
· Can research SQL PK/FK constraints and truncation errors.
· Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
· Familiarity with PowerShell.
· Self-starter and can juggle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision once trained.
· Can research a database schema to troubleshoot an issue.
· Solid presentation skills and ability to explain technical concepts to a wide variety of audiences.
· Familiarity with AIM a big plus but not a requirement.
· Familiarity with insurance concepts.
· Must be driven and self-reliant.
Additional Requirements and Details:
· Travel required up to 10% of the time.
· Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis
· Located and working from an office location (when required)
· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
