Our client is looking for a Sr Full-Stack Software Developer who can take direction and run with it, building out new and existing products and features. This role will be involved in our client's entire stack, and will take ownership of the services they build.
Our client connects patients' DNA with the billions of dollars of genomic research to help doctors diagnose & cure cancer patients and babies with rare diseases, and researchers understand diseases at a molecular level. Their flagship SaaS product, is the world’s first and only comprehensive genomic search engine. It is used by thousands of geneticists and genetic testing labs worldwide to accelerate diagnosis, increase diagnostic yield and assure repeatability in reporting genetic testing results so that no data is missed that can save a patient’s life.
You’ll be working directly with their CTO, who built several startups (the last of which was acquired by Edmunds), and who authors and contributes to many open source projects, including as a member of the Ruby on Rails core team.
What We’re Looking For:
Someone who has had a range of experience working with both back-end and front-end on web-based applications, as well as back-end data processing applications and pipelines handling large amounts of textual, genomic, or similar data. Their ideal candidate will contribute great ideas, design, architecture and code to help them continue to build out their solutions for precision medicine in the identification and treatment of cancer and other inherited rare diseases. This is a full-time position and is fully remote.
We’re currently hiring for 5 new positions on the development team, so IF you don’t have experience in ALL of the following, that’s OK!
Position Responsibilities:
*Work directly with CTO, VP of Product Strategy, and development team to develop new products & product features for our current products
*Dev-Ops, Server Management, AWS and other VPS
*Automated Testing, Code Reviews
*Staging and Production Releases
*Database Management, High Throughput Data Processing
*Perform other duties as required to help the Genomenon team achieve its objectives
Technical Requirements:
*Ruby, Python or Go - at least 5 years experience, and ideally more than 7 years experience, in one of the languages, and 2 years in at least one other;
*Docker - 1 year experience;
*ElasticSearch - 2 years experience (or other text indexing and search software like direct experience with Lucene);
*HTML, CSS (SCSS or LESS), JavaScript. Bonus points for experience with DOM frameworks/libraries such as Angular.js and React;
*Linux and OS X (Bash and command-line things);
*Git (or Mercurial or similar distributed VCS);
Other Requirements
*Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
*Self-motivator with strong work ethic with a “can-do” positive attitude;
*Pragmatism and desire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experience;
*4-year degree, ideally a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science;
*Experience with genomics, bioinformatics, big data, and/or pharmacogenomics and drug targeting

Total Compensation $135,000 to $160,000 + Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), Life Insurance, 401k
