Description

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced individual to assume the role of Director of Product Operations for this dynamic tech startup in the performance management sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in product management, technical expertise, experience in startup environments, and the ability to oversee operations – reporting to the CEO. Our client’s operations can be viewed as the overarching management of 3 pillars: Product, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Relations. These 3 pillars are explained below, with the Director of Operations’ responsibilities for each pillar identified. PRODUCT *Develop and manage product roadmap *Define product requirements *Serve as liaison with development *Translating product requirements to engineering & functional specifications *Prioritize feature development & issues *Ensure on-time and on- budget delivery of product releases *Develop and manage bug identification and fixes *Develop product training for sales & services teams SALES & MARKETING *Provide market input for message development *Understand market research on competitive offerings with continuous evaluation *Translate marketing messaging into sales acumen for presentations *Lead and manage sales team *Create, track and analyze sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) *Develop sales targets and quarterly budgets *Spearhead “Golden 20” sales cycles (initial efforts) for customer conversions CUSTOMER RELATIONS *Conduct Internal & User Testing *Onboard customers for effective transition from sales to customer service *Oversee customer service efforts and communicate with development *Prioritize customer feature requests and future product requirements for development projects *Ensure customer retention, with identified KPIs *Provide input on customer presentations and reporting *Expand customer base exponentially in the first 6-9 months from initial sales Requirements: *Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science or a related field *5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a startup environment *Strong technical expertise and understanding of software development practices *Strong project management and organizational skills *Excellent communication and collaboration skills *Experience conducting market research and analyzing user feedback *Experience working with cross-functional teams *Strong sales, analytical and problem-solving skills *Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and get into details of the projects at hand *Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing work environment Total compensation: Salary $120k-$150k+ stock options, full benefits (medical, dental, vision) flexible remote schedule About Our Client: Our client is a web and mobile application which empowers employees to obtain real-time feedback and communication from SME management on performance and achievements.
