Description
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing Meraki network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting of Meraki network equipment.
- Maintain best practice documentation and other reference materials as needed to document procedures, and methods for the engineering team.
- Report network status to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Provide assistance as needed to team members and operations teams for implementations, troubleshooting and repair of network installation and deployments.
- Providing courteous and professional communication with internal departments, customers, and vendors.
- Ensuring ZAYO Networks' standards are followed from beginning-to-end for each client and internal department interaction.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Work escalations from the ZAYO NOC Support teams to troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Work in the On Call engineering rotation.
- Customer facing position, responsible for working with other network engineering teams

Qualifications:
- Network Engineering configuration and troubleshooting experience with exposure to the following areas:
- Required, strong knowledge of Meraki MX solutions for edge Networking & Security.
- Required, strong knowledge of Meraki MS & AP solutions for edge LAN services.
- Desired (not required) SD-WAN experience VMware, Versa and/or Prisma SD-WAN.
- Knowledge of Network Diagnostics, protocols, and disciplines, BGP, OSPF, QoS, SNMP, VLANS, STP and VRF-LITE.
- Strong IPv4 subnetting knowledge and knowledge of IPv6 addressing.
- Knowledge of edge network security, encryption technologies & best practices.
- Ability to explain network related issues to both technical and non-technical internal and external teams.
Education/Experience:
- Required: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work or military experience.
- Minimum of 4 (four) years' experience as Tier 3 Support at an ISP/MSP
OR
- Minimum of 2 (two) years' as a Network Engineer or higher supporting enterprise customers of all sizes.
Base Pay Range: $78,500 - $117,705 commensurate with experience.
