OVERVIEW:
As a User Experience Researcher at Skillsoft, you'll have the chance to lead research activities supporting the development of innovative, user-friendly, best-in-class learning products. You will become a user-centric voice within our UX team’s insights-driven culture and play a key role in leading and inspiring teams to create future iterations of our next-generation learning platform, Percipio.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills who is detail-oriented and diligent, can work independently, and has a track record of discovering insightful data to help solve real customer and business problems.

This is a remote, US-based role (Eastern Time Zone)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with product managers, designers, engineers, and other researchers to prioritize research opportunities (both qualitative and quantitative) in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Collect and analyze user behavior by leading usability testing and customer discovery studies, surveys, field studies, experiments, etc.
Synthesize findings, recommendations, and create detailed reports based on user research.
Work with product teams to identify metrics for user experience and track the impact of product changes on these metrics.
Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research.
Help drive change by evangelizing research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations. This may include creating highlight videos/screenshots.
Use research findings to help Skillsoft make better decisions about what to work on, how to prioritize features, and how to become a listening organization.
Help promote the user experience research practice within Skillsoft by mentoring and educating designers, product colleagues, and others.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years’ experience conducting hands-on user research in a product environment.
Detail-oriented, with experience planning, executing, and analyzing qualitative research projects including recruitment, facilitation, synthesis, and presentation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills; can communicate complex research concisely and effectively to product stakeholders.
Can work independently, prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects.
Understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
Familiarity with survey software such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or Typeform; experience with relevant project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, etc. is a plus.
Familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred.
Interest in technology products and how they are designed, exploring recent technology trends, and adopting new tools, software, and equipment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other field emphasizing human behavior.
Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $76,000 to $95,000 annualized.
