My Bio is exciting (as a Linguist by education, I moved from studying human languages to the languages of digital computers, developed and customized software for enterprise platforms and applications, practiced and lead teams in Agile Software Development Methodology, especially for Cloud-Native deployments), but my core interest is in optimizing TeamOps and building high-performance value creation processes. My research in team development lead me to the conclusion that no matter how rigorously we can apply Agile, we will always be naturally limited by the current model of rewards for the labor contributions. The reality is that even in pure knowledge-based work, when workers develop and apply only mental models and chain them through sequences of decision-driven steps in order to create value (like software products, code, content, or even ChatGPT prompts to enable AI-assisted execution), we apply the Industrial Age compensation model, not the true rewards model. Rewards imply that you are getting something for your effort, usually a bit more than the effort was worth to you. Compensation is only what it is: restoring something what you have given, at best of the equal value. Rewards stimulate and enable performance. Compensation is a passive measure to keep a worker’s dissatisfaction low in order not to hinder his/her expected performance. I developed a Method of a true reward measurement and distribution to all mind work collaborative contributors (teams) for the value crated. This Wage Slavery Alternative™ Method is the Patent Pending invention that I have currently licensed for further development and experimentation as the VirAge Teams™ Platform to be delivered by Virtual Agile Teams Ltd. Co-Operative. I am currently working on further developing concepts and technology features to enable my Method’s secure and effective use by teams and collectives of technologists who are eager to experiment with the new model for rewards, applying it to partnerships and member-worker cooperatives.
