Bio
I’m a mobile developer focused on building tools that give people control over their digital lives. For the past several years, I’ve specialised in creating applications that help users manage screen time, block distracting apps, and reclaim their focus. This isn’t just about writing code—it’s about understanding the psychology of procrastination and translating that into effective technical solutions. My technical foundation is built on cross-platform efficiency with Flutter and native performance with Kotlin and Swift. Developing app blockers requires deep integration with system-level APIs—I’ve worked extensively with Android’s UsageStatsManager and NotificationListenerService, as well as iOS’s FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks. Building reliable background services that enforce blocking rules without draining battery or compromising performance is a challenge I genuinely enjoy solving. I’ve also implemented VPN-based blocking solutions where necessary, always prioritising transparency about how data is handled. Privacy is non-negotiable in this space. I design with a privacy-first mindset, ensuring that sensitive usage data never leaves the device unless explicitly authorised. Features like focus sessions, usage limits, and detailed screen time reports are built with local processing wherever possible. Beyond development, I’m driven by product metrics. I analyse user behaviour to understand what actually drives habit change—running A/B tests on onboarding flows, notification timing, and intervention strategies to improve retention and daily active usage. Seeing a user reduce their pickups by 30% or maintain a focus streak for a month is what motivates me to iterate and refine. I believe technology should serve us, not the other way around. My goal is to build apps(https://www.kidsee.app/blog-posts/best-app-to-block-apps) that are not only technically robust but genuinely helpful in fostering a healthier relationship with our devices.
