Bio
Eric Nuss spent his first fifteen years in Omaha before his family relocated to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he completed high school. Afterward, he pursued higher Education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in science and athletic coaching. He later advanced his studies at the University of Iowa, completing an MBA that strengthened his foundation in business and leadership. The combination of teaching and business knowledge would become central to the path he followed throughout his career. Eric began his professional journey in Colorado Springs as a middle school teacher. Teaching offered him valuable experience in leadership, communication, and the ability to guide others. Although he enjoyed his time in Education, he transitioned into sales and sales management, where he learned how to build effective teams and support business growth. During this time, he also coached youth baseball, applying values such as teamwork, accountability, and discipline. These lessons, first developed in the field, later influenced his approach as a consultant, where he guided professionals with the same focus on consistency and shared goals. Over the course of more than two decades, he has established a career as a consultant and advisor in the dental industry. His work has focused on helping practices grow during periods of change, including acquisitions and integration. He has offered strategy, leadership development, and operational oversight while creating scalable systems for finance, compliance, and human resources. His approach enables providers to focus on patient care while establishing practices with long-term stability and value. Today, in his role as a Strategic Advisor at XpoDental, he continues to support practices as they strive for sustainable growth. One of the greatest needs he has worked to address is the lack of business leadership training among doctors. While most excel clinically, many lack the tools to manage practices as long-term enterprises. As a result, many practices struggle to sell successfully, and owners face challenges when planning retirement. He has helped fill this gap by designing tax-efficient exit strategies, scalable business models, and systems that support revenue and employee retention. His advice has encouraged leaders to take ownership, move quickly, and learn from experience, giving them the ability to adapt and remain resilient. Eric, beyond his business career, has coached athletics. At STiKS Baseball Academy, he coached for nearly four years, emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and discipline. He later coached boys" basketball at Southeast Christian School for almost two years, focusing on leadership, communication, and values. Both coaching experiences reflect his consistent dedication to helping people grow and develop character. Personal experiences have also shaped his perspective. While in college, he studied abroad in Tanzania, where he gained new insights into faith, frugality, and materialism, and developed an appreciation for cultural diversity. His blended family has been another defining influence. Raising six children has taught him empathy, flexibility, and patience, qualities that continue to guide his professional and personal life. He now lives in Parker, Colorado, with his wife and their six children. Their family life is active and full, with days spent on school events, sports, travel, and meals together. Family remains his central motivation, reminding him of the importance of building businesses that provide freedom and balance. With a career built on Education, leadership, and service, Eric Nuss continues to dedicate his work to guiding others toward growth, stability, and lasting success.
