Bio

In 2018, a simple dye job gone awry inspired designer Esper to develop the free-form dyeing approach that would define the ebullient style of his Los Angeles–based clothing label, Come Back As a Flower (CBAAF). The brand’s name, echoing a Stevie Wonder song, reflects the themes of nature, regeneration, and psychedelia that underlie CBAAF"s limited-run collections of hoodies, lounge pants, and T-shirts. As an expression of gratitude for the natural world, all garments are crafted from recycled materials and dyed by hand. Earth-friendly and proudly Black-owned, Come Back As a Flower redefines the tropes of the flower power aesthetic, arriving at a universe of its own. (via SSENSE)
