Glenn Allyn is a New York native whose professional career reflects a disciplined commitment to leadership, strategy, and operational excellence. He pursued higher education with a focus on management and law, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. He later completed his Juris Doctor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. These academic achievements provided Glenn with a strong analytical foundation and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, shaping a professional trajectory that would later integrate legal expertise, aviation command, and real estate operations. After completing law school, Glenn began practicing law with firms in New York City and White Plains, steadily advancing within the legal profession and ultimately becoming a partner at two law firms. He concentrated his legal work on aviation law and ski-industry liability, areas that require deep regulatory knowledge and precise risk management. During this period, he worked on significant aircraft disaster cases involving reinsurance structures, multi-party liability, and regulatory oversight. His legal exposure to aviation incidents offered him a detailed understanding of aircraft operations, insurance frameworks, and compliance obligations. In parallel, he remained deeply involved in the ski industry as a certified ski instructor and competitive J3/J4 coach, where he trained young athletes and instructed professionals on safety systems, discipline, and performance development. Glenn Allyn expanded his professional scope by entering the real estate sector, where he spent more than fifteen years working as a builder, developer, and property manager. He managed residential and commercial properties, overseeing construction, maintenance, leasing, and tenant relations. This phase of his career strengthened his operational discipline and financial oversight capabilities, requiring daily coordination with contractors, inspectors, and service providers. Glenn’s real estate work reinforced his ability to manage long-term projects, balance risk, and maintain consistent performance standards across multiple assets while adapting to market and regulatory changes. Glenn’s aviation career advanced as he transitioned fully into flight operations, beginning as a captain with Northeast Jet in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He later served as Director of Operations at Tab Aviation, overseeing flight operations across New York and New Hampshire. In these roles, he built substantial flight hours while overseeing pilot scheduling, dispatch coordination, and FAA compliance. His responsibilities extended beyond flying, as he managed operational logistics, crew standards, and regulatory documentation, ensuring that flight operations met strict safety and performance benchmarks. Glenn Allyn further expanded his aviation expertise through aircraft brokerage and sales operations, spending five years as an aircraft sales associate and broker at Best Jets, Inc. He managed transactions involving jets, turboprops, helicopters, seaplanes, and piston aircraft. His work included aircraft valuations, inspections, market analysis, and negotiation support for buyers and sellers. This experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of aircraft ownership structures, acquisition strategies, and regulatory implications, strengthening his ability to advise clients across both operational and financial considerations. As Chief Pilot at M’Air Aviation, he led pilot teams, managed operational risk, and oversaw compliance with safety and maintenance standards. He coordinated training programs, monitored aircraft readiness, and supported aviation management initiatives. These responsibilities allowed him to integrate leadership, technical skill, and regulatory oversight into a cohesive operational approach. His experience in this role prepared Glenn for broader organizational leadership within the private aviation sector. Glenn Allyn currently leads Flying Zebra, a private air charter company headquartered at Westchester County Airport in New York. He oversees charter operations across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas, operating a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft designed to access destinations beyond traditional airline networks. Glenn manages pilot training, aircraft tracking, maintenance schedules, and charter coordination while maintaining strict adherence to FAA Part 135 requirements. His leadership emphasizes safety, efficiency, and reliability, ensuring that client needs are met through customized aviation solutions. With more than 30,000 hours of total flight time, including over 22,000 hours as a lead pilot and approximately 1,600 hours in rotary-wing aircraft, Glenn brings extensive operational experience to every aspect of aviation management. He is deeply involved in regulatory compliance, including SMS implementation, AOC applications, HZMAT documentation, emergency response planning, insurance coordination, leasing structures, and fleet oversight. These responsibilities require constant attention to detail and evolving regulatory standards, areas where his background in law and operations intersect seamlessly. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he maintains an active, disciplined lifestyle that reflects his commitment to performance and personal growth. Glenn’s interests include skiing, golf, endurance sports, cycling, running, scuba diving, kiteboarding, waterskiing, shooting sports, motorcycling, and biathlon activities. As a lifelong skier, he has participated in amateur and professional competitions across multiple disciplines, including moguls and aerials. Glenn Allyn continues to lead Flying Zebra with a focus on safety, accountability, and service, applying decades of experience across aviation, law, and business to meet the evolving demands of private air travel.
