So my name is Mario Kepple and I am a Jamaican entrepreneur with his first registered startup seeking investment to make a vision of Jamaican specialty products in high demand overseas a reality for those who need them and those who would benefit greatly from providing them. The company named after my mom, the kindest and most passionate person I"ve ever met, seeks to develop around our core values of doing for others in mutually beneficial partnerships from supply to distribution and culminates in a proposal that involves us installing state-of-the-art touchscreen vending machines in several major retail chains in the US, Canada, the UK, parts of Europe, Australia and the UAE. Not only does this provide unbridled access for many a local brands, small business owners and artisans here in Jamaica but it also provides an experience for the customer and a way for our beloved family members and relatives in the Diaspora to be assured of a consistency in the supply of their much needed Jamaican products that they miss so much. Be it food items and snacks like roasted breadfruit, bammies or chips or healthy food choices such as gluten-free cassava or breadfruit flour, beauty products like Jamaican Black Castor Oil, or herbal teas and spices like the much sought after curry powders and jerk sauces or rubs. So the Joan Miller Organics Resilient Supply Chain and Touchscreen Vending Project seeks to capitalize on a market opportunity and the pride and nostalgia of Brand Jamaica. As for myself, am an avid reader and high level consumer of knowledge and information. I live for utilizing business and entrepreneurship to assist with solving some of our bigger issues and the promise of being richly rewarded for same. Studying for a Computer Science degree, on a background of Systems Admin and General Construction Diplomas, Food Safety and Agro-processing certifications and a love for nature and the simple life, I might be thought of as an enigma of sorts, with a strategy to collaborate and motivate others to see a greater vision. My extensive work experience spans Agro-processing and food production, providing security services, customer service work experience, managerial and training experience both in customer service and Agro-production, warehousing, admin, construction, farming and landscaping, waiter and food prep. I take time to learn and experience with a view to informing my understanding of varied fields, initially for the purpose thinking as a child of joining the military and the benefit this gives of easily adapting to one"s environs and the ability to rise to the occasion in any circumstance. I"ve transferred this modus operandi to the next best fit, business and entrepreneurship. With a focus and dedication like you would never imagine, I seek to play my small role in achieving the goals and success for myself, my business, my family, my community, my country and ultimately for a better world.
