John is a serial entrepreneur, award-winning technologist, and seasoned executive with extensive start-up and public company experience. He has a proven record of success in building and growing companies from the ground up. He specializes in executive leadership, business development, and corporate operations with a technical focus on open-source and Microsoft-based solutions, AI-based technologies, cloud infrastructures, eCommerce, large-scale IT data center operations, software engineering, and dev/ops. Previously John was the COO of Achieve Agency, a full-service digital agency for nonprofits and cause-oriented companies. His work at Achieve was preceded by almost ten years as a Co-founder and Managing Partner at Big Couch Media Group, where he led multiple design and development teams on custom open-source projects. John is the former Executive Vice President of New Media and CTO for Baby Universe, Inc. (Nasdaq:KIDS), an innovative new media, content, and e-commerce company targeting growing families. At Baby Universe, John was responsible for the development and launch of BabyTV.com, an internet broadcast network dedicated to new and expectant parents. In his role as CTO, John was responsible for all technology and e-commerce operations. John was part of the executive team that took Baby Universe public on the American Stock Exchange and was instrumental in the company"s sale to eToys.com and ultimate listing on the Nasdaq. Prior to Baby Universe, John served as CIO for Lydian Trust/VirtualBank.com, a financial services company providing internet and private banking, wealth management, and outsourced business processing services for high-net-worth clients and premier financial institutions. In his role as CIO, John oversaw technology strategy and operations for Lydian"s four operating divisions. John also held key executive roles at Litespeed Technologies, Inc., an ASP, and Digital Software Services, Inc., a software engineering firm where he was responsible for developing branch automation and Internet banking software products. John served as a founding member on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Tech Association, a non-profit membership association uniting and building the innovation, entrepreneurial, and technology industries throughout Palm Beach County.
