Oversee stock intake inspection to ensure raw material received are according to specification agreement and according to raw material intake inspection procedure. • Work with Procurement team to ensure any changes in suppliers or new raw material are reported and proper procedure followed. Trend formal complaints and supplier non-conformances and schedule supplier visits, internal audits, and actions to be taken to ensure continuous quality. Conduct supplier risk assessments on a three-monthly cycle. • Working closely with new product development team to ensure new raw materials are approved and within the relevant specifications and customer guidelines. Ensure that all raw materials have necessary documents in place before final product development is complete. Flag and communicate gaps or issues notes during the evaluation. • Ensure that all bulk stock available for external sales have updated specifications are in place and approved. Review of material specifications at least once per annum and updated RSA legislative requirements for raw materials produced for Ambassador Foods. • Responsible for recalls and transability exercises and ensure staff follows proper process flow ensuring traceability is always maintained. Educate and communicate with staff and report on transability issues and a food safety culture. • Assist with allergen management by ensuring proper policy and procedures are communicated and implemented. • Responsible for audits and non-conformance management focusing on raw materials and its requirements and specifications. • Continuous improvement within area of responsibility ompiling internal quality reports. Work with sorting staff ito IQR’s raised. Ensure that all issues are trended and reported back to the supplier monthly for awareness and improvement. • Creating certificates of conformance and bulk sales to customers or intercompany transfers.
