Hi there, I"m Laurie. I am 61. I ran a successful 15 year online home based business. I"ve been away from technology pretty much completely other than my phone, for the last 10 years, due to the death of my son and husband. I found myself unable to continue my business due to grief. Ten years later, I"m trying to move onward and have remarried my high high school sweetheart 46 years later by a weird happenstance and an happily getting back in the game again. I"m starting a new store online as my experience lends itself to that venue. It is through shopify and canvas. I"m finding, lol, that much has changed in ten years! My new store is not operable yet as of this writing but should be within a week. I"m using an artists" template for my site rather than a pre built one from Shopify. I live in Longmont, Colorado, USA and love it here with my awesome husband and two fur pups. When I ran my old business years ago, I wore all the hats and would never consider dropshipping as it took away the personal touch I included with each package sent out. Well that notion has changed just due to age and situation. In addition, my store was my way of utilizing my training as a trained Herbalist and Aromatherapist. I"m now continuing with my entrepreneurial skills as archaic as they may be 😉, with my new store, New Moon Wellness Comforts. I love the fact that each day is a new day with new opportunities, challenges, growth and joy.... new life and we begin again. The New Moon represents that as well, but whereas most people find new change uncomfortable, my store"s mission is really simply to help someone lift their spirits a bit by purchasing an item that may help them feel empowered and comforted a bit while they"re moving outside their comfort zone in their life. That"s basically it. I love marketing, running a business, being more mindful these days, my life with my husband and 2 dogs and the beauty of the state of Colorado and all it offers. ❤️ I"m spending most of time right now mind-boggled overcoming the challenges of not knowing what the hell I"m doing... but attempting to be in the moment, telling myself I am able to learn the new things, even after being out of the technology for so long. Funny that this is the first time in my life (technologically speaking,) I"m actually having to watch tutorials over and over lol. 😉 But just think of all those new neuron pathways I"m making! Thank you for the welcomed and I"ll respond to anyone I promise but my initial time for a couple days is getting this dang store up and running. Ahhhhh, the fun of entrepreneurship.
