Hi, I"m Nick. 👋 Over the past decade, I’ve been developing the founding Operation teams at early-stage to growth-stage startups like Legion Technologies, Clubhouse, and Fair Square Medicare. Building these teams from the ground up includes working cross-functionally with Leadership, Engineering, and other stakeholders to manage department budgets, KPIs, technology implementations, and operational processes. Most recently, I helped put in place the People Operations and Compliance organization at Fair Square Medicare. To maintain the necessary nationwide employment and HIPAA compliance requirements, I led the implementation of Rippling and Vanta. Before Fair Square, I helped develop various programs during hyper-growth at Clubhouse, including Vendor Risk & Assessment, BPO Supplier Management, Trust & Safety, Community Support, Legal Operations, and Policy Development. Before joining the startup world, I was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte leading Product Management for a new Service Line Offering, providing clients over 15x ROI, and providing the foundation for future service line investment and expansion. As an operator, I also managed direct and third-party, globally distributed partner teams in EMEA & APAC. Outside of work, I am spending more time learning about digital marketing for my personal projects, rock climbing, traveling, and sharing my personal finance journey via my blog (www.nicholasayala.com).
