Experience as an entrepreneur / investor 1. Have founded, lovingly built and invested in a few (and successfully exited a couple) businesses in the education, training and marketing services domains. Focus was on helping corporates transform their marketing and selling models; make them future-ready in an increasingly digital world. Humbling to have had the opportunity to train and advise over 15,000 executives from over 70 countries (including several C-suite teams). 2. An active investor in early stage businesses (seed/pre-Series A). Current portfolio includes exciting startups in the areas of analytics and deep-tech research (VTION technologies, BIS Research) and real-money gaming (Wowchess and PokerHigh). 3. Advisor to several innovative and dynamic startups and scaleups (some examples include Frac, an asset tokenisation business using web3/blockchain technologies, Tenth Floor, a very innovative data consultancy; The Scale Factory that helps innovative tech businesses succeed in Asian markets...) 4. Very eager student of blockchain+Web3 possibilities and how they will shape the future. Feeling the same thrill about this domain as I felt way back in 1999 when I jumped over from the traditional corporate roles to work in early stage Web 1 and eventually Web 2 businesses 5.
