Bio
My name is Barbara Thomas and I have been practicing in the mental health space for over 30 years and practicing in the health and life insurance space for approximately 7 years. I have a Master’s in Business Administration of Social Work from The Ohio State University and my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University. As a student intern, I contributed to the first set of Public Health Practicing Standards for Social Workers and I published my first evidenced based field practicum research article. In the mental health field, I have worked directly with the clients and in a variety of managerial roles. I have worked to expand my knowledge base daily to assist others with the process of accessing mental health services by way of their insurance provider. I have also provided education on the importance of life insurance and all the benefits to individuals, families, groups, and entrepreneurs. I explain how insurance for medical health, mental health, and financial health work together providing an optimal homeostasis for one’s over wellbeing. The common thread with therapy and insurance is communication. The process of understanding works well with a discussion. So I ask, WTIO? Wannatalkaboutit.com.
