David Wadler is an entrepreneur, angel investor, and currently the co-founder and CEO of Vendorful, a SaaS platform for vendor lifecycle management. His first startup was Twistage, an online video platform that was acquired by Lexmark. After the acquisition, David served as the company’s General Manager for Rich Media & Cloud and began making making investments in startups. His startup investment portfolio has a bias towards b2b businesses, but runs the gamut from edtech to drones to building access control and even includes an investment in an early stage venture fund. A former resident of Paris and a graduate of Brown University, David now enjoys the glamour of chasing his children around the playground.
Haley Fradkin is an Investor at Plum Alley, a Venture Capital firm backing B2B startups operating in deep technology and frontier healthcare. Plum Alley invests at the Series A and B level in companies with gender-diverse founding teams and a go-to-market focused on improving the human experience. Haley leads the investment committee in deal sourcing and diligence, and portfolio management, providing resources and business development opportunities for our founders.
Haley is active in the early stage technology ecosystem speaking on topics around innovation in venture and diversity and tech, and serves as a mentor across accelerator and incubator programs. Through judging pitch competitions and beyond, Haley operates as a network catalyst, solidifying relationships between founders and investors. Haley is also an active member of the Leadership Council for the Woman of Color Connecting Initiative by the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Prior to joining Plum Alley, Haley worked for State Street Global Advisors on the Global Fixed Income ETF Portfolio Management team, and at Morgan Stanley in Wealth Management. Haley graduated from Tulane University – A.B. Freeman School of Business with a BSM in Finance and Management.
John Frankel is the founding partner of ff Venture Capital. He founded the firm in 2008 and has been a seed- and early-stage investor since late 1999. John focuses on advising and growing technology and technology-enabled companies across emerging industries, including artificial intelligence, cyber security, drones, enterprise software, crowdfunding, and data analytics, among others. He has served on the boards of more than 35 companies and has led investments in more than 80 companies, including Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), Indiegogo, Ionic Security, Unikey, Skycatch, Plated, 500px, Distil Networks, Pebblepost, and Owlet. John also sits on The NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s Board of Overseers.
Prior to founding ffVC, John worked at Goldman Sachs for 21 years in a variety of roles that involved technology development, reengineering and capital markets. At Goldman Sachs, he worked closely with some of the world’s leading hedge fund managers and developed a keen understanding of emerging technologies and portfolio risk/return management.
John started his business career in London with Arthur Andersen having earned a Master of Arts from New College, Oxford, where he studied Mathematics, Philosophy and Logic. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
David Grasso has dedicated his career to interviewing startup founders and highlighting their entrepreneurial journeys in the New York City tech space. He has interviewed thousands of startup founders on his weekly Facebook Live Show, Bold Business, which has been seen by millions of viewers. David is also a regular commentator on millennials and business on Fox News, CBS, Reuters, Cheddar, and more.
David is the Media Director of GenBiz, a non-profit, GenBiz, which is dedicated to helping young people understand money and entrepreneurship and the interaction between politics and the general economy. David spent several years working as a bilingual investigative journalist at Telemundo and ABC local affiliates before specializing in entrepreneurship content. David holds a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and is an active member of the Harvard Club of New York.
