Recent Regulations Regarding Non-Basmati Rice Exports In recent months, the Indian government has implemented significant changes to the regulations governing non-basmati rice exports directly impacting Indian non-basmati rice traders and exporters. Lifting of Export Restrictions In July 2023 India imposed a ban on the export of non-basmati white rice to ensure domestic supply and control rising prices.
