Meetings

Meetings can be hosted virtually and in-person through Entre. Meetings are a core part of work, and as work continues to move further into the virtual space Entre wants to provide the tools and ease of access to be able to network, collaborate, and work all within one space and Meetings are a core part of that!

Meetings can be scheduled or created instantly. You can also setup an instant Meeting from within your Direct Messages when you're ready to take the conversation to the next step!

Getting Started

When it comes to Meetings, you can host them with just audio, or you can use video. Most importantly, you are going to want to make sure you have a quiet space to be considerate of the others in your Meetings and so that everyone can hear you clearly.

When you create your first Meeting you will want to make sure you give permission to Entre to access your camera and microphone.

Meetings are completely private from others on the platform aside from anyone you share the link with or add as a Guest. Creators and Guests of a Meeting will be able to see the Meeting at the top of their Home Page while it is happening (whether they are in the meeting, or were in the meeting) until the Meeting is concluded and the Room is Ended.

There are some differences between Scheduled and Instant Meetings so refer to the proper sections below to understand the differences.

Creating a Scheduled Meetings

Scheduled Meetings have a lot of extra functionality compared to Instant Meetings. Scheduled Meetings create a calendar invite for you and the guests, allows everyone to join directly from their "My Calendar" page on Entre, and if you need someone to join that hasn't been added as a guest, you can simply share the link with them.

How to create a Scheduled Meeting
  1. Click the "Create +" button

  2. Select "Meeting"

  3. Enter the Title of your Meeting

  4. Select "Scheduled"

  5. You choose to set the Meeting to be Recurring

  6. Set the "Start Time" and "End Time"

  7. Select whether the Meeting is "Virtual" or "In-Person"

    1. If In-Person: Enter the physical location of the Scheduled Meeting

  8. "Add Guests" by searching and selecting the users you intend to meet with

  9. Click "Schedule Meeting"

Extra

As stated above, upon creating the Scheduled Meeting, the other guests will receive a notification, and an email (if they have email notifications turned on), and they will receive a calendar invite for the Scheduled Meeting with the date/time/location.

From the calendar invite, reminder notifications for the Scheduled meeting will go out 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 10 minutes before the Scheduled Meeting. A notification will also be sent when the Scheduled Meeting is started.

Creating an Instant Meeting

Instant Meetings are quick, easy, and straight to the point. You can start Instant Meetings through 2 different ways on Entre. Instant meetings require sharing the link for anyone else to be able to join since Meetings are Private by default.

How to Create an Instant Meeting:
  1. Click the "Create +" button

  2. Select "Meeting"

  3. Enter the Title of your Meeting

  4. Select "Instant"

  5. Click "Start Meeting"

You will have to share the link with whoever you intend on having join the Meeting.

How to Create an Instant Meeting: (from your Inbox)

Instant Meetings can be created from directly within your Inbox. By clicking the "📞" button in the top right of the screen, an Instant Meeting will automatically be opened and the link to the Meeting will automatically be sent to the person/people you are messaging. This works with Direct Messages and Group Messages.
